E-book readers owed in multi-million dollar settlement

If you’ve purchased an E-book within the last two years chances are you could be part of a $69 million settlement with publishers.

Attorney General Marty Jackley says readers who bought an electronic book through Apple or Sony should have received emails notifying them about the settlement. Consumers who bought one or more qualifying E–books from April 1, 2010 through May 21, 2012 will receive a credit if they follow their email instructions and if the court gives final approval.

Last month, two publishers agreed to the multi– million dollar settlement to resolve alleged claims of unlawful conspiracy to fix the prices of E– books.
