Flavors such as watermelon, dill pickle and spicy taco make butter, caramel and cheddar seem old-fashioned. In all, 54 flavors are sold, everything from savory cheeses; tutti frutti candy; chocolates and caramels.
Owner Lisa Zakrzewski says she wanted to share her love for the snack with others. So she hired a consultant, opened shop, and has been popping kernels since February.
Zakrzewski says although people have reached outside their comfort zone, caramel is still the most popular flavor.
