The new Daisy House is three times bigger than its former location on Rapid City’s west side. That means the adult day care center can accommodate up to 48 adults, 20 more than before.
Manager Shirley Allen says the new location has a few more benefits.
“We all have access to the library to downtown to their new center downtown and we’ve already accessed all those and so the people love it,” said Allen.
The Daisy House has been in operation for the last five years. It gives caretakers a break from caring for their loved ones, in addition to giving the elderly an opportunity to take part in activities and socialize with peers.
