Healthcare practitioners say you have to treat your mind, body and spirit to feel whole. Today, dozens of people experienced wholistic health first hand at the third annual Wholistic Expo at the Rapid City Civic Center.
Event organizer, Cindy Dumdey says the event’s main goal is to educate people about alternative and complimentary healthcare. Wholistic Practitioner and Reflexologist Ursala Ward says this form of healthcare is unique because very rarely is harm involved.
“That’s one great thing that I’ve always loved about the wholistic realm or alternative healthcare,” said Ward. “There’s almost no negative effects that can be found.”
Dumdey says wholistic health works in conjunction with medical care. The medication solves immediate needs while wholistics works to change nutrition, stress and overall lifestyle.
